TIme to breathe

I'm not working this week so I've had time to just kick back and relax. As a bonus. last week I realised that I still have 6 days of holiday time to take and because of the way my working week is, that means a fortnight off. So when I go back to work, I only have 4 weeks to work before I have a fortnight off.
As the weather is completely horrid as per normal for January, I've decided to stay in and do some stitching and finishing. So far I've made quite a bit of progress as you can see below.
The pieces on the pink linen are from the Essy's friend series from Elegant stitch. The designs are lovely plus the finishing instructions from Lois are fabulous. Its been a lot of fun finishing things in different ways than I've done previously. The checked pillow design is from Trail creek farm. The pillow is premade, which saved a lot of time.
And finally the cherub is the 1996 free cherub design from Mirabilia. I found the chart in with a piece of fabric which I had bought to stitch it on ages ago. I'm hoping to get a bit more stitching done before I go back to work. I've also cast on the second sock too so I should have a finished pair of hand knitted socks very soon.

Happy new year

Slightly late I know but I've been working quite a bit since the turn of the year so time has been short. I want to a review of my stitching/knitting year and work out a plan for this year but I haven't quite managed to do that yet.
Meantime I've been managing a bit of stitching and knitting. I"ve finished the stitching for my valentine's exchange on the SBEBB, I just need to do the finishing. I can't share pictures of that yet until the exchange is finished. I have a week off next week so hopefully will get it done them and some more stitching besides.

On the knitting front, I've finished my first sock

I rather enjoyed it and found it a bit easier than I thought it would be. I just have to knit the other one now...
